The facilitator asks the participants a question in the form of a challenge and they have to respond by constructing a model with Lego® pieces.
The participants elaborate their models with Lego® pieces. When participants construct concrete models (metaphors in 3D) they are constructing, at the same time, visions and connections within their own minds and creating knowledge.
Once they have built their model, participants share them and the story associated with the metaphor they represent. This form of distributed dialogue ensures that the visions and perspectives of all participants are shared.
After sharing each of the models, the facilitator and the other participants reflect on the explanations they have heard and ask questions about the models. “Reflecting” implies asking questions about what you see in the models, what the different elements mean, etc.
